For debugging

Give the next fix a better starting point.

“It doesn't work” leaves too much room for guessing. Capture the reproduction steps, expected behavior, and evidence before asking your builder to change the code.

  1. 01

    Describe the failure precisely

Write down the environment, reproduction steps, expected result, and actual result. Add the relevant error text after removing sensitive information.

  2. 02

    Check the surrounding UI states

Define the loading, error, and retry behavior around the failed action. Give the fix a complete interaction to preserve.

  3. 03

Record what changed and what to recheck

Keep a handoff of the fix, verification steps, and remaining questions. Make it easier to reproduce the issue if it returns.

A few details

Before you start.

Does the bug report tool diagnose the issue?

No. It formats the information you provide into a bug report and debugging prompt. It does not inspect your app, run code, or infer the cause.

What evidence should I include?

Include the smallest reproducible sequence, the affected environment, and relevant error text. Remove credentials, tokens, and personal data before sharing the report.

How do I know the fix is complete?

Repeat the original reproduction steps, check the expected result, and exercise related error and retry states. Run the relevant project checks as well.

Keep your project context close.
